Enclosed are screen windows with settings selected for performing FTP file transfers using Fetch for Macintosh.
 
  To Print document click button to view PDF document, then select print.
 
 

Note: In order to do an FTP file transfer you will need to acquire an FTP software client. 

 

 

 

  Step 1

  • If you do not have an FTP Client, we recommend Fetch, a very popular software program used by many Macintosh users. 

  • It can be acquired at the URL: http://www.fetchsoftworks.com

 

  Step 2

  • After you have purchased and installed the FTP client software, launch the program.

  • The window to the left will appear.

  
    Step 3

  • In order to logon to Versa Press FTP site you will have to obtain a User ID and Password from your sales person at Versa Press, Inc.

  • In the Host text box enter ftp.versapress.com.

  • In the User ID text box enter the User ID you obtained from your representative.

  • In the Password text box enter the Password you obtained from your representative.

  • Press the OK button.

  
    Step 4

  • The dialogue box to the left will appear.

  • In order to speed up the file transfer time, we recommend using Stuffit to compress the file before performing your FTP.

  
   

  Step 5

  • Drag the file or files you would like to transfer on to the open area of the dialog box.

  • When the files have transferred they will appear in the open area.

  • To the left is an example of a file transfer for picture1.pdf.
