Enclosed are screen windows with settings selected for preparing postscript and PDF files using Macintosh Adobe Distiller 8.1.
 
  To Print document click button to view PDF document, then select print.
 
 

Note:

  • Adobe Acrobat software must be installed on your computer in order to create a PDF file.

  • This procedure creates a setting profile that will name Versa Press Settings. Once created this setting profile will be selected any time a PDF file is being prepared for Versa Press, Inc.

 
 

  Step 1
  • Open Acrobat Distiller
  • Select Settings - Edit Adobe PDF Settings from the tool bar.
  
     

 

  Step 2
  • The General tab will be displayed.
  • Adjust your settings to match the illustration to the left.
 		  
     

    Step 3
  • Select the Images tab.
  • Adjust your settings to match the illustration to the left.

 

  
     

    Step 4
  • Select the Fonts tab.
  • Adjust your settings to match the illustration to the left.

 

  
     

   Step 5
  • Select the Color tab.
  • Adjust your settings to match the illustration to the left.

 

  
     

    Step 6
  • Select the Advanced tab.
  • Adjust your settings to match the illustration to the left.

 

  
     

 

  Step 7
  • Click the Standards tab. 
  • Adjust your settings to match the illustration to the left.
  • Click the Save As... button.

 

  
 

  Step 8
  • Save the current settings for future preparation of PDF for VersaPress, Inc.
